Register at the Police Complain :
If your home's Title Deed's original copy is lost, you must first file an FIR at the police station inthe area. In Complain you must give the document registration number and its class. You should then copy the FIR. You make sure that the copy of the FIR is clearly written, except the signature of the police department and the stamp. If the police can not get the missing document after the investigation then it will issue a non-traceable certificate
Announcement in Newspaper :
After registering an FIR at a police station, you will have to advertise in newspaper printed in at least two local languages. Apart from this, you have to advertise in the English news paper that the title deed of your home has been lost. In this advertisement, you will be entitled to a claim on home in a specific time, which is usually 30 days. If there is no objection even after 30 days, you will h ve to talk to a lawyer and make a letter about this
Prepare affidavit :
Once you have this document, you have to prepare the document. An affidavit should be mentioned that the title deed of your home has been lost and it is a declaration that content provided in the affidavit is true. An affidavit should have a d estic detail, FIR number, and disclosure of th advertisement given in the news paper After preparing an affidavit, you can take help from legal expert or notary.

For that you have to go to the Sub Registrar Office, where the property has been registered. You can also apply support documents such as water, electricity and telephone bills to the right to own the home with the application. You can apply for a certified copy by paying a fixed amount.
