One day format has been introduced in cricket after the Test cricket. The first ODI match was played in 60-60 overs. Then limited to 50-50 overs in ODIs. Changes in the game did not stop till then, and after the T20 format 20-20 matches came and became popular all over the world.
There is a big change in cricket now. Preparations for launching smaller formats than T20 have begun. The game’s 100-100-ball match will start from England’s ground-breaking England.
ICC has given permission to the Instrument of the England and Wales Cricket Board to organize the tournament. Hope is expected to start 100-100 balls from England’s domestic cricket in 2020.
T20 was also started with England’s county championship. Now the new format is also taking birth in England. According to the scheduled program, 100-100 ball tournament will be played in 38 days for 38 days.
There will be a total of 3 games played in it. According to this new format of cricket, 15 out of every match will be traditionally 6-6 balls. The final over of the match will be 16 overs over 10 balls. This way, 90 in the 15 overs and the last over 10 balls are thrown. At T20, both teams were given the opportunity to play 120-120.
It is believed that this new format will be about 40 minutes younger than T20 matches. This format is considered to be good with the convenience of the broadcasters as well as connecting the youth to this game more and more.
